Valerie is an innovative Organisation Development and change management specialist, working with clients to build organisation capability. The ethos behind her work with business leaders is always to optimise individual performance, and increase confidence and self-awareness within the context of the organisation dynamics.
Before becoming independent Valerie developed her expertise whilst managing business relationships in international, cross cultural business environments in the UK, Asia Pacific and the US for large, complex, virtual organisations in the pharmaceutical, oil and insurance industries.
Valerie spent 11 years at Glaxo Smith Kline health care business, where 60% of her business consultancy projects focused on ‘change management’. Prior to her career in GSK, she worked for many years in Royal Dutch Shell and Royal Sun Alliance.
More recently she held an interim manager role focusing on talent management in the Civil Service.
Her consultancy assignments include a Wellbeing Programme for BT, coaching managers on the Arts Council’s Cultural Leadership Programme, and working on a Consultancy Skills Programme for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Valerie’s strengths are executive and transition coaching, developing effective teams, leadership development, driving change across multi-functional disciplines and working on cross cultural programmes to support the successful integration of managers.
